Santa Ponsa, or Santa Ponça, if you want to stick to the official name in Catalan, is a small town in the southwest of Majorca. In 1299 King James I of Aragon landed right here to conquer the island, and it was later annexed to the Monarchy of Spain.

The town has two beautiful beaches, a private marina, and multiple golf courses, next to all the restaurants, bars, and even casinos one could wish for. If you want to discover more of the Island, Palma, Paguera, Port de Andratx or Magaluf are easily reachable by bus.


Santa Ponsa is a resort town. You will have no problem finding a room in one of the many hotels or resorts along the coastline. Santa Ponsa II has been the host of the PGA European Tour. However, the 18-hole course is only available to local and international members of the Majorca Country Club. If you are a member, you have access to the course and all kinds of activities and services like spas and its exclusive restaurant.
