Top 5 Beer Gardens In London

As lockdown restrictions ease in most of the UK, pubs, restaurants and the hospitality industry are open up again (hurrah!). But don't expect things to seem back to how they were in your local any time soon - strict guidelines are now in place to ensure social distancing and limited numbers to ensure patrons stay safe.

With that in mind, we've put together a list of our favourite London beer gardens that are opening to the public over the next few days and weeks. Enjoy - but abide by social distancing and stay safe!

1. Lockside Camden- Camden Town

Although they might not have the most plentiful amount of space (though enough for a few safely distanced tables), this one is all about location, location, location. Our first waterhole is set alongside the canal and overlooks the Camden market, famous for its culinary delights and quirkiness. If there is any reason at all the go to the north side of London, it is for the Camden market and this beer garden is the perfect spot to take in each and every one of its worldly delights.

2. The Duke of Edinburgh – Brixton

From the outside, we admit, it looks a little crap. But in the garden it’s a buzzing swarm of people - you can’t help but want to be a part of this hive. This huge outdoor space is full of tables so you’ll be more likely to get a seat and when the sun starts to set the garden turns into a beautiful array for fairy lights so you can carry on drinking for as long as you like!

3. The Ship – Wandsworth

This is another selection that is all about the location. The Ship not only has plentiful seating perfect for big groups, it is also set right next to the water, perfect for those summer holiday vibes. They also serve the best British pub grub, what more could you ask for? They re-open on July 20th and ask you to pre-book as well as download their 'Young’s On Tap' app for table service.

4. People Park Tavern- Hackney

Now this is a cool little number… well not so little, this enormous beer garden is one of the best places for outdoor eating and drinking that the whole family can get involved in. The garden even has games like crazy golf - the kids will be entertained, so more time drinking for you! In the summer they also provide loads of mouth-watering BBQ style treats perfect for alfresco dining.

5. No32 The Old Town – Clapham

We’ve gone a little… sexy with this one. This rooftop terrace definitely has a romantic intimate vibe, perfect for that warm summer's evening date. Sip cocktails, eat amazing picture-perfect food and get all loved up this summer at No32. What's more, the socially distanced tables should give you even more alone time...
