Introducing: Sereneti Kitchen

If you love cooking but you can never be bothered to start cooking up a storm at the end of a long day of trading, meet Sereneti Kitchen's Cooki, your new personal robotic chef.

Sereneti Kitchen was born when CEO Timothy Chen's sister asked her brother: "why can't you just press a button and cook?" Proof that there is no such thing as a stupid question.

And the Cooki was born. Cooki is a robot chef capable of making scrambled eggs, soups, salads, pasta, rice, stews, stir fry and more.

But that's not all - Sereneti Kitchen are also developing a "pod" system that'll let you cook an entire home-cooked meal just by putting a pod of fresh ingredients into a machine. The future really is now.

Sereneti Kitchen's tech is currently in very early stages, so you won't be able to throw out your cookbooks just yet. 10 prototypes have just been sent out to San Francisco companies for testing. The machines will then be scaled down for home use and are expected to be available by December 2016.
