The Best and Worst Performing Stocks During Covid-19

It’s fair to say that 2020 has been an unprecedented and volatile time for the markets and continues to be so.

But, remarkably, some stocks have been massively outperforming what they were expected for the year. Others, less surprisingly, have struggled. As you can imagine, stocks in sectors such as information technology, consumer staples and healthcare have reached record returns whilst real estate, travel and energy have been harshly affected by the continuing pandemic.

This new infographic from IG gives us a look into different countries across the globe and the effects the pandemic has had on their markets. The UK's BATM Advanced Communications recorded the largest increase, up by 266.9%, closely followed by Japanese and Australia tech firms, and US healthcare. See the infographic below…
