Trader Postcards: Singapore

In Trader Postcards, we encourage traders who’ve been away on their travels (work or pleasure) to send in five snaps that sum up their trip.

Accompanied by a few lines captioning each pic, it’s your chance to show off where you’ve been, and whether you’re as good with a camera as you are at monitoring the markets. If your trip features on the site, we’ll send you the latest trading book we've had through to TraderLife HQ.

Last month we featured a (boozy) jaunt to Dublin, while this time around TraderLife writer and FX trader Chris Johnston reports back from Singapore...

1. Marina Bay Sands Infinity Pool

For our few days in Singapore, we decided to stay in the famous Marina Bay Sands, known across the world for its infinity pool, which provides stunning views across the city.

2. Michelin Star Street Food

This is the street food from Liao Fan Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice & Noodle. I heard about this place before I went to Singapore, so went into China Town to hunt it down. It’s not every day you get to dine at a Michelin Star restaurant with dishes coming in at c. $2!

3. Financial District

Walking around the Bay, looking back over to the famous Financial District.

4. Cloud Forest

Behind the Marina Bay Sands is the ‘Gardens by the Bay’. Here we visited the indoor ‘Cloud Forest’ with its waterfall and huge array of tropical plants and trees.

5. Chilli Crab

Singapore is also known for its Chilli Crab. So of course we had to go and find some. There were numerous places selling it, but we sourced a restaurant along the riverside and were served up this huge crab!

Recently taken a jaunt to Vegas? Monaco? New York? Send your Trader Postcards to editor@traderlife.co.uk and if you feature we'll send you something to say cheers.
